William T. Litchman III, age 77, of Lynn, died April 21 after a lengthy illness at a local nursing home.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of William T. Jr. and Helen (McCarthy) Litchman. He was educated in the Lynn school system.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany as an air traffic controller, following the service he continued his employment as a controller in Casper, Wyoming, Los Angeles International Airport and retiring from Logan International Airport, Boston.
He was a member of the Fox Hill Yacht Club of Saugus. He was also a lifetime supporter of Suffolk Downs and was an animal lover.
He is survived by his companion of 13 years, Joyce Reardon of Lynn; his sons, Thomas Litchman and his wife Kristy, William Litchman, all of California; his daughters, Marianne Litchman Roa of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Beth Litchman of Seattle, Wash. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Dylan, Kiera, Kaitlin, Hailey and Sandie.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services at the Vietnam Veterans Lot in Pine Grove Cemetery on Friday, April 24 at 1 p.m. We will gather at the main gate on Boston Street at 12:45 p.m. Arrangements by the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn.
