Obituary

Ruth E. Boyko, 87, formerly of North Smithfield died Sunday morning at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Napoleon Bouffard, Herve Theroux and Samuel Boyko.
Born in New York City she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Alita (Daudlin) Campeau. After the death of her mother she was raised by her stepmother Mary Jane (Blain) Campeau. She grew up in Woonsocket and resided in the Northern Rhode Island area for most of her life. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida.
Rut attended Woonsocket schools and worked at Amprax in North Smithfield. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs parish. Ruth had special culinary talents and was very creative with crafts and keeping her garden full of beautiful flowers. She loved entertaining, decorating her home and was always abreast of the latest fashion trends.
Ruth was a classy lady always dressed to the nines.
She is survived by her great-niece and close caregiver Monica Neyman of Pascoag, her godson and nephew Greg Castro of SC and many additional nieces and nephews. Her step-daughters Brenda Bean of Bermuda, Holly Dunnigan of CA, Dale L’Esperance and Kerry Boyko both of North Smithfield. She was the sister of the late John Campeau and Frank Daudlin, Mary St. Pierre, Mabel and Rita Campeau and Irene Daudlin. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren Leon Branchaud and Jarod Gorman and 2 great-grandchildren Brendan and Jack.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Slatersville. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 186 Amaral St. Riverside, RI. 02915.
