FALL RIVER… Muriel M. (Levesque) O’Mara, 72, of Fall River passed away Sunday, April 19th at St. Anne’s Hospital.
She was the widow of Clement O’Mara to whom she was married for 11 years and longtime companion of the late David Goodman.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Ronald A. and Germaine (Bouchard) Levesque and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. O’Mara worked as a Credit & Collections Rep. with the former Fall River Electric Light Company for 22 years and for the New England Gas Company for 14 years before retiring in 2001. More recently, she was employed as a Funeral Coordinator at South Coast Funeral Home in Fall River. Muriel was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s Parish, Fall River where she was active in the Woman’s Guild and the choir.
Survivors include a brother: Paul M. Levesque and his wife Alice of Fall River, a niece: Brigitte Davis and her husband Stephen of Fall River, a nephew: Paul M. Levesque, Jr. and his wife Takako of Fall River, great niece and nephews: Sydney, Aidan & Troy Davis and Kai Levesque.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, April 25th at 9 AM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
