FALL RIVER … Sophie A. (Swidzinski) Malek, 86, of Fall River died Friday, April 17, 2015.
She was the widow of Alfred Malek.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late William and Rose (Karpiniec) Swidzinski and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Malek was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter Carol Shea of Somerset, 3 sons: Paul F. Malek of Fall River, Michael J. Malek of Assonet, and David M. Malek of Fall River, 6 grandchildren: Meghan, Scott, Cory, Zachary, Jennifer, and Abigail, a great grandchild Brayden, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jennie Swidzinski, Anna Hefko, and Teddy Swidzinski.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 9AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 39 Rockland Street, Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Monday 4 - 8 P.M.
