Dick was 82 years old when he passed away on April 17, 2015. After battling Cancer, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease, Dick slipped away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Mary, devoted family, and two close friends.
Born in Bethlehem, PA, the oldest of four boys, Dick attended Jesuit schools throughout childhood and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute in 1955. He was employed at Boorum Pease Company first as an Art Director and then as Vice President of Marketing. For most of his life, Dick lived on the east coast until he retired and relocated to California, the place he loved so much. Dick enjoyed painting,reading,watching sports,and eating good food. He especially loved BLT sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and cinnamon rolls.
Dick leaves behind his dearest wife Mary, four sons, three daughter-in-law, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend at Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Bill Bolton at 11am Friday April 24, 2015 in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 10800 Henderson Road Ventura. A reception will follow in the Buenaventura Mobile Home Park Clubhouse 11405 Darling Road Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE,Ventura.
