John R. Henry
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, April 17, 2015, Mr. John R. Henry, 90 husband to Mrs. Louise Lockhart Henry.
Mr. Henry was a native of Tarboro, North Carolina, but lived in the Augusta area for many years. He was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. Mr. Henry served in the Air Force during World War II and later retired as a Major in the Air Force Reserves. He worked as a Civil Engineer for Merry Brothers Bricks. Mr. Henry studied Civil Engineering at Georgia Tech and Auburn University.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Susan Henry and her husband Richard Fritzler. He was preceded in death by his son: Rick Henry.
A memorial service will be Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Dr. Matt Rich officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
