New Bedford–William H. Brown, Jr., age 90 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday April 17, 2015 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. He was the loved widower of Priscilla (Holmes) Brown and the son of the late Rose King (Rose) and William H. Brown. A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Brown was a General Foreman at Cornell Dubilier until his retirement.
Seaman First Class, William H. Brown, Jr. proudly served our country in The United States Navy during WWII.
His family includes his 6 children: Bradford P. Brown and his wife, Susan M., of New Bedford, Brian J. Brown and his significant other, Martha Moura, of New Bedford, William K. Brown and his wife, Marian, of Dartmouth. He is also father of the late Raymond Brown, Robert Brown and Barry Brown. Others survivors include several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
William was predeceased by his siblings: Walter Brown, Joseph Brown George Brown and Mildred Brown.
His funeral will be Tuesday morning beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. followed by burial with full military honors in Rural Cemetery at 10 A.M.
