BURKE, David A. “Sonny”, a beloved husband and father passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in his home in Clearwater, Florida at the age of eighty-four.
Born in West Newton, Massachusetts, he went to Florida in 1994 from Natick. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for GTE in Needham, Massachusetts for 24 years after serving in the United States Air Force 95th Fighter Squadron during the Korean War from 1950 until 1953.
Mr. Burke also taught electronics at the Keefe Technical Vocational School in Framingham for many years.
Sonny is survived by his loving Wife, Barbara (Flynn), Children; Michael Burke, Jerry Burke, Sharon Burke and Ann Marie Coyle, of Massachusetts, Daniel Burke and wife, Teresa, of New Hampshire,
Special Niece, Jacqueline Burke of North Carolina and Special Nephew, John Burke and wife, Virginia, of New Hampshire.
Brother of Edwin Burke of Oregon and Sister Joanne Coane of Massachusetts, 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd from 4:00-7:00PM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common.
Sonny's Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23rd, at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
