Obituary

Worcester – Viola A. (Cote) Allard, 99, of Worcester, died on Monday, April 13th in her home.

Viola was married to the late Daniel Allard who died in 2001 and is also predeceased by her daughter Beverly J. (Allard) Miller, who died in 2006. She is survived by her three granddaughters, Deborah A. Tetreault of Dudley, Sharon A. Daigle of Spencer and Darlene M. Dombroski of Worcester; two brothers, Robert Cote of Charlton and Earl Cote of Oxford; two sisters, Doris Moore and Eunice Lussier both of Auburn; 7 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Allard was born in Oxford, daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Rivers) Cote and would have turned 100 years old later this month. She is also predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Viola worked for many years as a shoe stringer at the former Brown Shoe Company in Worcester. She enjoyed many things throughout her long life, however, she was most happy when she was spending time with her family. Mrs. Allard took great pride in knowing that she was the oldest living woman in 5 generations of girls in her family.

The funeral will be held on Friday, April 17th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11 am in Sacred Heart – Saint Catherine of Sweden Church 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Allard may be made to Overlook Hospice 88 Masonic Home Road Charlton, MA 01507.
