Edward A. Hanson age 94 a lifelong resident of Canton passed away April 14th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canton, he graduated from Canton High School and ran his own business, Blue Hill Auto Repair in Canton for many years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Blue Hill Mason Lodge in Canton and enjoyed fishing, reading, antiquing and spending time at the beach at his Marshfield cottage. Beloved husband for 52 years of the love of his life, the late Margaret M. (Malcolmson). Father of Shelley D. Eardley and her husband Stephen of Canton, Stacey A. McGrath and her husband William of Highland Beach, FL, and the late Stephen E. Father in law of Patricia Hanson of Brockton. Brother of Irving Hanson of Stoughton and Howard Hanson of Canton. Grandfather of Chris, Alissa and James Eardley, Daniel McGrath and Brian and Tibha Hanson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning at 11. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
