Obituary

LACONIA – Gilbert Wilfred “Gil” Bourdon, 82, of 44 Fair Street, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 after a long illness.

He was born on November 10, 1932 in Rutland, Vermont, the son of the late Wilfred and Mildred (Slattum) Bourdon. Gil received his business degree from Boston University and also attended Nichols College. He worked for 25 years as a real estate salesperson for Byse Agency. Gil loved golf, antiques and attending yard sales. He was a longtime member of the Laconia Elks #876.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Harriette (Carignan) Bourdon of Laconia, two sons; Greg G. Bourdon and his wife Joan of North Carolina and James E. Bourdon and his wife Marsha of Laconia, one daughter, Colleen Manger of Worcester, MA, five grandchildren; Shawn, Alexander, Joshua, Heather and Matthew and four great granddaughters; Hailee, Harpor, Eva and Sam Bourdon.


Memorial calling hours will be held from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11AM, also at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at a later date in the family plot at St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia.
