Samuel J. "Jack" Bankson
May 12, 1934 - April 13,2015
Jack was the first born son to Andrew J. and Dorthy A. Bankson in Calipatricia, California on May 12, 1934 and was raised in Clovis, California. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1952. After he graduated he joined the Air Force and served his country for 4 years. Jack started working for the Southern California Edison Company in 1958 where he continued to work for the next 30 years. Jack was blessed with 6 children, 3 from his first marriage: Howard (deceased), Mari (Oak Hills, CA) and Sam (Fallon, NV) and 3 stepchildren from his second marriage: Yvonne (Ventura, CA), Pam (Fillmore, CA) and Sid (deceased). Jack married Adeline March 5, 1977 and they spent 38 years happily married. Together they share 15 grandchildren: Michelle, Marc, Autumn, Michelle, Catrina, Jesse (deceased), Bryan, Nicole, Christa (deceased), Michael, Tia, Maria, Erik, Melissa and Jeremy. They also took joy in sharing soon to be 20 Great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held Thursday April 16, 2015 from 4 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm in the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian will be held at 10am on Friday April 17, 2015 in Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road Ventura. Interment will immediately follow in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.
