Mrs. Louise (Jackson) Braxton, a resident of Medford for more than 50 years and beloved wife of the late John Warren Braxton, Jr., passed away at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Sunday morning, April 12, 2015. She was 85 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 14, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Audrey (Clifton) Jackson. Mrs. Braxton was an Executive Director of human resources of the Executive Offices of Environmental Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years. She held a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Northeastern university, and a M.Ed in Counseling/Psychology from Cambridge College. In her spare time, Mrs. Braxton enjoyed painting, playing Soduko and Crossword Puzzles. She also was an avid reader. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving children; Eric R. and his wife Lorraine Braxton of Medford, Mara L. and her husband Michael Chiulli of Revere, Kim E. Braxton of Medford, Stephanie L. Braxton of Medford and Kevin M. and his wife Renee Braxton of Medford, and the late John Warren Braxton III, siblings; Marilyn Tyler of Rockland, Wilbur and his wife Barbara Jackson of Newton and Phyllis Jackson of Rockland, grandchildren; Eric A., Bret A., Toni M., Michael, Nicholas D., Anthony J., Balan R., Kevin M., Jr. and Bianca S., great-grandchildren; Samantha, Marisol, Nicholas Jr., Charly, Michael, III and Dominic and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late William Jr. and Robert Jackson.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 18, 2015, in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Noon. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
