Helena J. (Devarenne) Blouin, 92 of Salem entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody following a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert L. Blouin.

Born in Danvers and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alexander H. and Eva W. (Parent) Devarenne. Following her marriage to Al the couple lived at Ft. Benning, Georgia during the World War II years. Following Al’s tour of duty as a member of the 10th Armored Division they returned to Salem where she devoted her time to raising their family. Later, Helena worked for Connolly’s Candies on Essex Street in Salem until she retired. She was a faithful, lifetime member of Ste. Anne Parish, The League of Catholic Women and a loyal contributor to many charitable organizations.

Helena is survived by two daughters; Doris Davis of Salem and Lorraine LeFrancois of Naples, FL, 4 Grandchildren; Susan Puleo, Kenneth, Jesse and Steven LeFrancois. She also leaves 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter; Jeannette LeFrancois and her sisters; Rita Ouellette and Lucille LaBrie.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 23rd at Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A]. Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Anne’s Catholic Church, Friday, April 24th at 10:00 am followed by internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Salem.
