Obituary

NATICK: Frank J. Letizia, age 92, a longtime Natick resident and World War II veteran, died peacefully on April 10, 2015, at Oak Knoll Nursing and Rehab Center in Framingham. He was the devoted husband of the late Phyllis (Allen) Letizia for 63 years.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Flavia (Bombaci) Letizia. Frank was raised and educated in Natick, and worked an automobile mechanic until he entered the Army in 1943, and served until the end of the war.

Frank and Phyllis were married on September 4, 1949 and made their home in Natick. Frank started Frank J. Letizia Contracting after the war. He worked throughout the Greater Boston area until his retirement in 1984. The Letizia Family enjoyed many vacations and long weekends at their cottage on the lake in Gilmanton, NH.

Predeceased by Phyllis in 2012 and their son Michael in 1997, he is survived by his daughter, Debbie Letizia of Milford, with whom he made his home in recent years; his son, F. Allen Letizia and his wife Terri Danielli-Letizia of Natick; a daughter-in-law, Karin Letizia of Natick; four grandchildren, Joseph, Jeff, Chris, and Jenna Letizia; a sister, Connie Villani of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Tommy Letizia.

His funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Thursday, April 16th at 9AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, at 10AM. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday 5 – 8PM. Donations may be made in Frank’s memory to Dana Farber Thoracic Cancer Clinical Research, 10 Brookline Place West, #6, Brookline, MA 02445.
