Alma Marion Fachy (Finnegan) entered into eternal peace early Saturday morning April 11, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah Finnegan and Marion Gilmore, born on February 7, 1922, and sister of the late Jackie Finnegan. Alma graduated from Roslindale High School in the early 1940’s and worked at R.H. Stearns as a bookkeeper, doing some modeling, as well. She married the late Gino C Fachy in 1947, with whom she spent 60 years, residing in Jamaica Plain for 20 years, and Canton for 44 years.
Alma was a kind and caring soul with a generous, loving heart and touched many people in her 93 years. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Gino in 2007.
She leaves her loving memories to be honored by her children, Jean McDonough and husband Bill of Canton, Janet Morrison and husband Murdock of Mason N.H., John Fachy and partner Hank Pilot of Quincy, Judy Paglia and her husband Bob of Mason N.H., as well as adoring grandsons Charlie Morrison, his wife Sophie, Jacob Corrado and his wife Jeanmarie, and was blessed to have known and loved her 3 great granddaughters, Cadence Aston Morrison, Mikayla Aston Morrison and Shelby Rose Corrado.
Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St., Canton Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
