In Taunton, April 11, 2015 Marjorie E. (Nichols) Gilbert daughter of the late Thomas and Claire (McManmon) Nichols died at Marion Manor Nursing Home at the age of 81. Marjorie was born in Dighton and was a graduate of St Mary’s High School in Taunton. She was a retired telephone operator for New England Telephone for over twenty five years. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Woman’s Guild and she was also a member of the church choir. Marjorie enjoyed animals, aerobics, walking and traveling especially to Cape Cod. She was the mother of Regina Gilbert of Taunton, Stephen Gilbert and his wife Kathy of Dighton, Michael Gilbert of Taunton and Aaron Gilbert and his wife Mary Duggan-Gilbert of Cohasset. Grandmother of Andrew Gilbert of NY, Jennifer Nichol Gilbert of CT, Mollie and Leesil Gilbert of Cohasset. Sister of Barbara Morey of CA formerly of Raynham and the late Edward and Robert Nichols. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, April 15th at 10 AM. A Mass will be held at St Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 Pm. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
