Obituary

JACKSONVILLE, FL: Philip E. Dennis, 50, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Jacksonville.
Born in Haverhill on October 30, 1964 he was the son of Arthur R. Dennis of Morgan, Vermont and the late Jeanette (Kelly) Dennis. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School and had attended Northern Essex Community College. He had resided in Georgia for several years before moving to Florida over twenty years ago.
Philip enjoyed photography and did free lance sports and celebrity concert photography. He was a valued employee at Jason’s Deli in Jacksonville for several years. He also loved to collect sports memorabilia and was an avid Boston sports fan.
In addition to his father and step-mother, Linda (Bentley) Dennis, Philip is survived by his sister, Melinda Dennis and her fiancé, George Sthasis of Adairsville, Georgia; several uncles and aunts, Frank and Janice Dennis of Byfield, MA, Melvin and Donna Dennis of Bernardston, MA, Charles Dennis of San Angelo, TX, Eileen Murphy of Haverhill, Barbara Goda of Alpharetta, GA and Karen Kelly-Alger and Dwight Alger of Newburyport; Phil’s friend, Priscilla Smith of Jacksonville and many cousins. In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased by his grandparents.
His funeral service will be held on Friday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
