Lawrence E. Happe
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, April 9, 2015, Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Edward Happe, 82, loving husband of 58 years to the late Shirley A. Happe.
Mr. Happe was born in Pittsburg, PA. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years and also retired from the Civil Service. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He traveled the world with his wife, Shirley. He was a wonderful father, a gentle soul, and loved his grandchildren.
Family members include his son: David Happe (Kelly) of Santa Fe, NM; daughters: Dianne Loyal (Chris) of North Augusta, Linda Mallon (Paul) of Evans, Cathy Waggy (Philip) of Evans; grandchildren: Bradley Blake, Chris Blake, Christopher Loyal, Anna Loyal, Angie Turner, and Ryan Waggy; and sisters: Rosanne Simmons and Agnes Yagatich. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his sister, Alice Murphy.
The funeral service will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Gary Platt officiating.
