Humboldt High School Alumnus 1941. Preceded in death by loving wife of 68 years, Patricia; grandchild Kari LaBathe; parents Louis & Margaret; sisters Alice & Margaret; brothers Louis & John; great grandchildren Nicole Deshler, Madelynn & Henry Miller; & son-in-law John Deshler. Loving father of Kathleen Deshler, Rick (Mary), Deborah (John) Fitzenberger, Kim LaBathe (Tom), Shelley (Jim) Heck, Tom; 17 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Bill was a strong supporter & achiever at the West Side Neighborhood House. Prominent member of the Humboldt High School Football & Basketball Teams. A World War II Army Veteran 1943-1946. Dedicated Burlington Northern Railroad Accounting Supervisor for 41 years. His faith at Presentation Church was never ending over 65 years. Bill's leadership & love of our family provided us all with strength & kindness to move forward in our own lives. Bill spent his last days cared for by his family in his home with Health Partners Hospice. Please keep Bill & his family in your prayers as you move forward in your own lives. Visitation Monday, April 13th, 5 PM to 7:30 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 14, at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at PRESENTATION OF THE B.V.M. CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1725 Kennard St., Maplewood. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donors choice.
