METHUEN – Mildred (O’Shaughnessy) Murray, 97 passed away Saturday April 4, 2015 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (O’Boyle) O’Shaughnessy and attended St, Michael’s Grammar School and Lowell High School and was employed with Unitrode in Methuen.
She attended St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, and enjoyed traveling, bowling cooking and spending time with her family.
The widow of Frank Murray, she leaves her daughters and sons, Mildred Bretton and her husband Ronald of Methuen, MA, Barbara Chapman and her husband Jack of Auburn, NH, Frank Murray and his wife Donna of Methuen, MA and James Murray and his wife Sandra of Weare, NH. Mildred also leaves her sister Cecelia Lamb of Winthrop, MA; grandchildren, Kevin and Daniel Bretton, Maureen Cregg, Colleen Donnelly, Meghan Sirois and Keefe Murray; great-grandchildren, Lia Bretton, Calin and Thomas Cregg, Keira Donnelly and Bryson Sirois. Several nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her longtime friend, Arlin Horskin
Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
