Patricia K. Measor of Raynham, formerly of Weymouth, MA passed away at home with her family, March 31st, 2015 at the age of 88.
Patricia was born in Somerville, MA and raised in Weymouth, MA. She served in the Navy as a nurse during the Korean War, and was stationed in Bremerton, Washington at the Naval Hospital. She was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1952.
While in the Navy, she met her husband of 57 years, Marvin C. Measor. When first married, she resided on the Measor family farm in Beaver, Oregon. She later moved her family to Weymouth where she spent the majority of her life, raising her boys and working as a nurse. She worked at Colonial Nursing Home in Weymouth Landing for 27 years. She also loved to travel, read, crochet, bake and spend time with family.
Patricia and Marvin moved to Raynham, MA in 2009 to live with their son Mark and Carol Measor.
She is survived by her two sons David Measor of Kingston, and Mark and his wife Carol Measor of Raynham, daughter-in-law Heather Measor. Her sisters Mae Saldi, Marjorie Harris, Diane Hallifax and Mary Bognanno and her brother George Norcott. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Kimberly Measor of Framingham, Kevin and his wife Nikki Measor of Spokane, WA, Jennifer and her husband Scott Hunter of Bridgewater, Kristin Measor of Boston and Derek Measor of Kingston and two great-grandchildren Ignatius Measor and Carli Violet Hunter. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin, her mother Marion Norcott and father James Norcott, her brother James Norcott, her son Steven Measor and daughter-in-law Robynn Measor.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street South Weymouth, MA on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at 9:30am.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mt Hope Cemetery, Oak Street in South Weymouth at a later date.
