Obituary

Paul M. Waldron, age 73, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly April 1, 2015 at Tobey Memorial Hospital. Paul was the fiancé of Claire T. Howard formerly of West Bridgewater and husband of the late Theresa M. (Gately) Waldron. He was born in Taunton, son of the late Martin F. and Margaret E. (Robicheau) Waldron. He was a graduate of Framingham High School, class of 1958, Bridgewater State College and Northeastern University where he received his MPA. Paul is a Lance Corporal Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era, and for over 30 years had been employed as a State and County Municipal Employee with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, retiring as Superintendent. He was a member of the National Order of Trench Rats, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 57 and the American Legion Post #64. He enjoyed kayaking, woodworking, Irish music, traveling, photography, and especially researching his family genealogy.
Paul is also survived by his sons Matthew of Taunton, Paul, II of Stamford, CT and Brian P. of Danbury, CT and nine grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph Waldron and brother of the late James and Thomas Waldron and Margaret Bukin.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 8am for a funeral Mass at Christ the King Parish at 9am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
