Obituary

NATICK: Joan L. (Lentini) Papa a lifelong resident of Natick passed away on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at the Briarwood Healthcare Center in Needham. She was 92 years old.

Born in Natick in 1922, she was a graduate of Natick High School, class of 1940 and a member of the National Honor Society.

Joan worked for Raytheon for many years before her employment with Nationwide Advertising of Boston for over twenty years as the New England Regional Manager.

She enjoyed playing the piano in her younger years, was a good bridge player and a great golfer. Joan loved spending her winters in Florida, traveling, reading and gardening however; her true enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and attending all their activities.

She was the wife of the late James J. Papa and a loving mother of Janice Nuss and her husband Dale of Hooksett, NH, Dr. Cynthia Papa Lentini of Old Chatham, NY, Judy Deuring and her fiancé John Ciccarello of Medway and Joan Terrasi and her husband Charles of Pepperell.

Cherished grandmother of William Mueller of Holden, Jamie Deuring of Marlboro, Brad Deuring of Bangor, Maine, Michael Terrasi and his wife Leah of Revere, David Terrasi and his partner Steve Boutcher of Greenfield, Nicole Roy of Homer, Alaska, Alyssa Roy of Pepperell and the late Daniel Mueller.

Great grandmother of Lexi and Daniel Mueller and sister of Lucy Mangini and her husband Dante of Milford. Sister-in-law of Theresa Leger and her husband Robert of Natick and also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Joe Genova and his late wife Rita of Natick and her beloved late niece Maria Mangini Driscoll.

Joan’s family would like to thank everyone at Briarwood Healthcare Center of Needham for the wonderful care and love shown to their mother during her stay.

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.

Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick.

Joan’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to the Briarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Employee’s Fund, 150 Lincoln St., Needham, MA 02492.
