Agnes B. Gonsalves, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully March 31, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a lengthy period of declining health. She was 89 years of age. Born in Woburn she was one of seven children of the late Joseph F. and Angelina (Gomes-Pestana) Gonsalves.

Agnes worked for many years as a hospital assistant and also as a salesperson at various department stores in Boston and Woburn. Agnes loved listening to music and enjoyed dancing throughout her life. She was a talented cook and will fondly be remembered as being a very determined person and also as a very compassionate and understanding woman with a strong faith.

Agnes was the loving sister of Mary Gonsalves, John Gonsalves and his wife Jeanne all of Woburn, Julie Perez and her husband Pedro of New York City, NY, the late Irene Gonsalves, Joseph Gonsalves Jr. and Ernest Gonsalves. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Jean Gonsalves of Woburn and is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, April 4th, at 12 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Agnes' memory to the charity of your choice.
