John D. Ruvido, Jr. passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 63. Born and raised in Medford he was the son of the late John D. and Virginia (Pecorella) Ruvido. A graduate of Medford High, John was a Medford resident for most of his life and lived in Wakefield for the past several years. An avid motorcyclist, John enjoyed trips with his large circle of friends to Laconia, Lake George and along the Kancamagus Highway. He worked in building maintenance at the Susan Baylis Assisted Living in Boston. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and being in his band.


The beloved husband of Heidi V. (Oesterle) Ruvido, he was the devoted brother of Janice DiPietro and her husband Robert of Tewksbury, and Cynthia Perrone of Lowell. He was a dear brother-in-law of Matthew Oesterle of Melrose and Gwyn Thackur of Acton. The loving uncle of Amber Tupper, Adrienne Ernest, Robert DiPietro and Gregory Perrone, he is also survived by five great nieces and nephews and his pet cat Chevy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday April 2nd, from 4 through 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Interment private.
