Helen M. Souza, age 93, of No. Chelmsford and a former Woburn resident for over fifty years passed away peacefully on March 29, 2015 at the Life Care center of Nashoba Valley following a short period of declining health. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Edward Souza. Born in Boston Helen was one of five children of the late Giuseppe and Ubbidienza (Farese) Aniello.

Helen was raised and educated in Boston's North End. She worked for over 25 years as a sales associate with the Jordan Marsh Co. prior to her retirement. For many years Helen and Edward were very active members of the Stoneham Lions Club both on local and statewide levels. Helen was always by Edward's side supporting his work with the Lions and the people they help. However Helen's main focus in life was her family and her faith. She cherished spending time with her family and always made sure that her home was a warm and welcoming place for everyone to gather. She was a wonderful cook and thoroughly enjoyed hosting holidays and preparing all the traditional foods.

Helen is survived by her devoted children, Elaine Corsetti of No. Chelmsford, Diane Shaughnessy of Westford and her late husband John, Victor Souza and his wife Mary Rita of Tyngsboro. She was the loving grandmother of Audrey Maguire and husband Mark, Deborah Salamone, Stephanie Finn and husband Jay, Leanne Tall and husband Jim, Joanne McCole and husband Kevin, Edward Souza and wife Elizabeth, Keri Dosti and husband Ron. She is also lovingly survived by 14 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Palma Malatesta, Anthony, Carmen, and Joseph Aniello. Sister-in-law of Anna DeModena of East Boston.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday, April 2nd, at 10 a.m. followed by a blessing in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., WOBURN, at 11 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
