Dorothea M. Civitarese (Miller) age 96 of Canton passed away March 29th at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Dorchester. She previously lived in Milton before moving to Canton 35 years ago. She worked as a Hostess for Weddings at the Holiday haven in Norwood for 15 years and previously worked for Sears as a bookkeeper for 2 years and at Jordan Marsh in the Apparel Dept. for 20 years. She was formerly a member of the Milton Catholic Women’s Club and the Canton Garden Club. Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Mother of John R. Civitarese of Randolph, Judy A Randazzo of Bedford, Irene M. Noris of Abington and Barbara M. O’Toole of Canton. Sister of Mary Miller of CA and the late Judith Curry. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Debora Noris, Corinne and Christine Randazzo. For many years Dorothea lived with and help raise her 3 grandchildren, Brian, Meg and Nicholas O’Toole. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Wednesday morning at 10. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
