Obituary

WEBSTER – Stasia J. (Lazarowski) Nalepa, 92, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center after a period of declining health. Her husband of 33 years, Walter J. Nalepa, Sr. died in 1978.
She leaves a son, Walter J. Nalepa, Jr. and his wife Joan and their son Paul of Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 sisters, Genevieve Lariviere and her husband Adelard of Webster, and Theresa Jezierski and her husband Stanley and Ann Scanlon, all of North Grosvenordale, CT; 2 brothers, John Lazarowski of East Hartford, CT and Stanley Lazarowski and his wife Sue of Mountain Home, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, John Benkowski of Webster; She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Baron and by a brother, Joseph Lazarowski.
She was born and raised in Dudley, the daughter of Stanislaw and Kazimiera (Kozlowski) Lazarowski. She lived in Webster since her marriage in 1945.
Mrs. Nalepa was a stitcher at Bentley Shoe Company for 35 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Saint Anne Society. She enjoyed bowling.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 30, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, March 29, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Reasearch Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
