Mary E. Rambello

Mary E. Rambello, age 91, of Woburn formerly of Winchester, passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, March 25, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard “Leo” Rambello. Born in Winchester she was the daughter of the late Ignazio and Maria (Saladino) Lombardo.

Mary was raised and educated in Winchester where she attended public school. She married the love of life, Leo Rambello, in 1943 at a ceremony held in St. Mary Church, Winchester. The young couple, at the age of 20, bought their first home and soon began their family bringing two beautiful daughters into the world. Mary was all about family and over the years she enjoyed making many special memories with her family camping at Sebago Lake and spending many fun times in the Laconia, New Hampshire. She cherished spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren whom she adored. Over the years Mary loved to travel taking trips to Canada, Washington and the Dutch Country of Pennsylvania. Mary also enjoyed ballroom dancing and for many years would enjoy an evening out to the Wonderland Ballroom.

Mary will fondly be remembered for love of family and her strong faith. She will be greatly missed by those she loved.

Mary is lovingly survived by her devoted daughters, Rosemarie Hellawell of Litchfield, NH and her late husband Al, Lucille Collins and her husband Dave of Woburn. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Overbeck and her husband John of Litchfield, NH, Paula Lee Collins and Abbie Marie Collins both of Woburn. Loving great grandmother of Sophie, Cole and Claire Overbeck. Sister of the late Anna Errante, Laura Ricardelli, Martin, Nicky, Anthony and Mike Lombardo. Sister-in-law of Sonny Lombardi of Waltham. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, April 1st, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 3 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the charity of your choice.
