Obituary

Worcester – George E. Parker, 74, of Worcester, died on Monday, March 23rd in the Saint Francis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an illness.

Mr. Parker was married to the late Sharon E. (Kane) Parker, who died in 2009. He is survived by two sons, Stephen Parker and his wife Cynthia and Jason Parker, all of Worcester; three daughters, Kimberly Fenner and her husband Raymond of Worcester, Saundra Witz and her husband Steven of Rutland and Shannon Parker of Auburn; a brother, Edward Parker of New York; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

George was born in Worcester, son of the late Maurice and Hazel (Marengo) Parker and is also predeceased by four sisters and a grandchild.

He worked for many years as a salesman for various companies in the tire industry before his retirement. George enjoyed many things, however, two of his favorite things were watching and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees and spending time on the golf course.
