Jeanne E. (Mulcahy) Nilson of Wellesley passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick at the age of seventy-two.
Daughter of Jeanne (Amicone) Moore and the late John Mulcahy, she was born in Boston and attended Mission Hill High School. Jeanne worked for many years in customer service and enjoyed making flower arrangements, arts and crafts, all animals and was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church of Wellesley.
She was the devoted wife of the late John D. Nilson and a loving mother of George Nilson and his wife Christine of Upton, John Nilson and his fiancée Maggie Shortridge of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Jennifer Nilson and her husband David Musshorn of Natick.
Cherished grandmother of Luke, Johanna, George, Lauren, Erik and Nils. Sister of Karen Kerrigan and her husband Paul of Dedham, Janet Cali and her husband John of Norfolk and the late John Mulcahy.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, many caring and helpful neighbors and her late niece Sharon Mulcahy.
Her family would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home for the great love, care and support given to Jeanne during her stay.
Visiting hours will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Friday, March 27th from 4:00-7:00PM.
Jeanne’s Funeral Service will be held in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 79 Denton Rd., Wellesley on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment is private.
