Evelyn (Barreto) Mocciolo age 57 of Taunton died Saturday March 21, 2015. She was the loving mother of Shaun P. Mocciolo and his wife Katie of Taunton and grandmother of Everett Marco Mocciolo. Evelyn was born and raised in New York City a daughter of Juan Barreto of Puerto Rico and the late Celia Nazario. She had resided in Taunton for the past four years and previously lived in the Boston and Brockton areas.
Evelyn had been a secretary at the VA Medical Center in Brockton and Boston Catholic Charities. In her free time she enjoyed music and dancing. Evelyn’s true joy in life was her family especially spending time with her grandson.
In addition to her son and his family she is survived by her siblings Angel Perea of New York City, Norma Perea of Boston, Wilson Perea of Ohio, Lilly Perea of New York City, William Perea of Boston, Edwin Perea of Brockton, Albert Barreto of New York City, Amiee Barreto of Maryland and the late Jose “Tony” Barreto. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10 am.
