SILCK, Frederick J. Jr., of Winthrop, March 18, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor M. (Dalton) Silck. Devoted father of Debra E. Silck and her fiance William Olsson of Lynn, Frederick J. Silck III and his wife Barbara of Winthrop, Cynthia M. Flannery and her husband Bill of Swampscott and Kimberly Mackey of Winthrop. Dear brother of Katherine Hill of Melrose, John Silck of Winthrop and the late Claire Tully and Arlene McLean. Lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Mon. March 23, at 9am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will take place in Winthrop Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sun. from 4 to 8pm. Fred was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Pleasant Park Yacht Club in Winthrop, serving as its Commodore from 1965-66. He was also a member of the Commodore’s Club of America.
