Obituary

SPENCER: Anna A. (Markunas) Sylwanovicz 88, formerly of 40 School St., died Wednesday, March 18 in St. Mary's Health Care Center in Worcester.
She was the wife of Felix "Phil" Sylwanovicz who died in 2005. She leaves her son Stanley F. Sylwanovicz and his wife Florence of Auburn, two daughters Rose Ann Collette and her husband Philip and Susan Mellen all of Spencer, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son in law Kenneth C. Mellen in 2006, a brother William Markunas, and two sisters Alice Markunas and Eva Morkavage.
Ann was a printer for New England Envelope in Worcester for 32 years, retiring in 1988.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of William and Amelia (Sebago) Markunas. She was a member of Our lady of the Rosary Church. She loved flowers and vegetable gardening, animals and appreciated nature.
The family would like to thank the caring staff and especially Sr. Dorothy at St. Mary's Health Care.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 21 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 MapleTerr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
