Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 17, 2015. Preceded in death by parents Albert and Mary Francis, siblings: Bud, Rob, Rosie, Min, Nan, Cuts and Boone. Jerry is survived by his wife Marlene, and their children Jeffery Bierwerth and his sons Devon and Gunner, Dawn Tasse and her children Natalie and Nick, Donna Weiler (Jerry) and their children Kristal and Kenny, Denise Langenfeld (Mike) and her children Katrinda and Trenton, Diana Rieck (Dave) and their daughters Katie and Lindsey, Jerry Bierwerth (Debbie) and their daughters Anna and Abby. He had five great grandchildren: Savannah, Lily, Mason, Derek and Mackenzie, and his siblings: Albert Bierwerth, Betty Wilke and Kathy Wilke. Jerry was born in Saint Paul in 1937 and grew up in Vadnais Heights. In 1960 he married his high school sweetheart Marlene and they resided in White Bear Lake. They raised their 6 children and he loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family fondly remembers those yearly camping trips. Jerry loved to fish and travel; during his life he was able to make many trips to Canada and northern Minnesota fishing. Jerry was a skilled machinist; he worked for American Can/Silgan Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1996. After his retirement he and his wife were able to travel to Alaska. They took various trips to Texas in the winter months to escape the cold. Jerry will be missed by many. Private family service.
