Maria Dos Anjos Tavares, age 86, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2015. Born in Porto Formoso, São Miguel, Açores she was the daughter of the late Manuel Costa Lauriano and Maria Estrella Pereira, and wife of the late Manuel Tavares. She enjoyed farming, cooking, baking, embroidering and caring for her family. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Parish.
She is survived by her children; Manuel C., Joseph C., and David C. Tavares, Emilia T. and Maria Dos Anjos Creador and Maria de Graca Raposo, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also grandmother of the late Pedro Creador.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY here at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset.
