Lydon, Coleman J. “Coley” of Walpole formerly of Jamaica Plain and Rusheenamanagh Carna, County Galway, Ireland March 13, 2015. Beloved husband of 60 years to Brigid P. (McDonagh). Loving father of Joseph and his wife Ann of Dorchester, Sean and his wife Keri of Roslindale, Colm and his wife Colleen of Jamaica Plain, Mathias and his wife Debra of Walpole, Padraic and his wife Kathleen of Roslindale, Liam and his wife Sonia of Jamaica Plain, Deirdre and her husband Patrick Welch of Walpole and the late Baby Boy Lydon. Also survived by 19 devoted grandchildren. Devoted brother of Peggy Walsh of West Roxbury, Barbara McCarty of West Roxbury and Mary Fahey of Quincy and the late Michael, Johnny, Patrick and Val Lydon. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Thursday March 19th at 9 am Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 12pm – 8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery. Coley immigrated to Boston in 1948 becoming a member of the Boston Gas Company until retiring and joining his son at Mathias Construction Corp. Coley was passionate about Ireland and the Irish serving as an officer in the GAA, Honorary President of the North American Board, Lifetime Trustee of the New England Board, President of the Connemara Gaels, Past President of the Irish Social Club and honored member of the Irish Cultural Center.
