Eileen M. Blake

Eileen M. Blake passed away at Boston Medical Center on Thursday evening in the company of her loving family. She was 84. Born and raised in Somerville, She was the daughter of the late John and Eileen (Davis) Mirabello. She graduated Saint Clement High School and went on to graduate from Regis College. A Medford resident for nearly 60 years, Eileen was an executive with Blake Associates, Inc., her husband’s microwave components sales and distribution firm.

The beloved wife of Joseph P. Blake with whom she shared 60 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Michele Bordieri and her husband Anthony of Belmont, Joseph P. Blake Jr and his wife Rose of Medford, John Blake and his wife Grace of Stoneham, Maryjane Cangiano and her husband Dr. Albert of Medford and the late Eileen “Chickie” Blake. She was a loving grandmother to Michele Dalton, Colleen, Michael and Tim Bordieri, Juliana Bankover, Joseph III, Christine, Matthew, Rosemarie, John P., David, Patrick, Peter and Christopher Blake, Julia, Laura, Mark, Daniel and Albert Cangiano. She was a loving great- grandmother to Juliette, Vivienne and Alexander Dalton; Joseph IV, Giada and Wesley Blake. A dear sister to Ann Cunningham, Carol Noel, Jane Ford and the late Marguerite Soccorso, Eileen leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited visit at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn on Sunday March 15th from 4- 8 PM and again on Monday morning at 9 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund, PO Box 84968, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
