Alice D. (Chasse) Kociuba 98, of Rhodes Ave. died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Michael Kociuba. Born in Lawrence MA she was the daughter of the late Nestor and Anastasia (Rinfrette) Chasse. Alice and her husband owned and operated Michael’s Beauty Shop on Main St. in Woonsocket for forty three years before retiring in 1984. Alice served as Vice President of Mercy Mount’s Mother’s Club, President of Mt St. Charles Mother’s Club, and President of the St. Ann’s Ladies Guild. She was also a member of St. Ann’s Parish Council and Choir.
Alice is survived by her sons, Michael Kociuba of Glendale, Carl Kociuba of Pascoag and James Kociuba of Cambridge, MA, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 PM.
