FALL RIVER …Esmeralda (Oliveira Correia) Martins, 78, of Fall River passed away on March 10, 2015 after a long illness.
She was the wife of Isaac Martins.
She was born in Gouveia, Portugal, the daughter of the late Joaquim Diniz and Maria da Conceicao (Oliveira) Oliveira and had lived in the area since 1989.
She worked in the textile industry as a seamstress and was a communicant of Santo Christo Church.
Along with her husband, survivors include, 2 sons: Eduardo Martins of Lisbon, Portugal and Luis Martins of Seia, Portugal, a daughter: Renata Reis of Fall River, 2 brothers: Mario Oliveira & Avelino Oliveira both of Fall River, 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henrique, Emileo & Cezar Oliveira.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited to will be held Monday at 8 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 - 8 PM
