Patricia Agnes Harrington
3/8/2015

Patricia Agnes (Mullan) Harrington, age 82, of Winchester, passed away at home on March 8, 2015, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Harrington. Born in Leominster, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Mullan.

Mrs. Harrington attended New England School of Art in Boston. She and her late husband, who she met while they were both employed at First National, were residents of Winchester for many years. They raised their 12 children there. A homemaker, Pat was very active in the Winchester community and in her children’s activities. She volunteered as a den mother with the Cub Scouts, as a troop leader with the Brownies and the Girl Scouts, taught CCD at St. Mary’s Church, was a Greeter at Winchester High School and volunteered at the Jenks Senior Center.

Her children also shared stories of their mother’s amazing cooking skills, namely her “grace under pressure”, as she often cooked more food than some restaurants for their large family.

In her spare time, Pat was an avid reader, loved the casinos and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and Foxwoods, where she particularly liked playing video poker. Of course, no jackpot could compare to the joy she got from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she adored.

Mrs. Harington was the loving mother of Daniel J. Harrington, Jr. of Medford, John M. Harrington and wife Christine of Tewksbury, Kenneth J. and wife Elizabeth of Woburn, Patricia A. Harrington of Winchester, Thomas N. Harrington and wife Michelle of Melrose, Anne T. Harrington of Peabody, Richard B. Harrington of Winchester, Maureen M. McDonough of Medford, Michael S. Harrington and his partner Sheila Songole, of Woburn, Kathleen S. Harrington of Newburyport, Neil F. Harrington of Woburn, Kevin F. Harrington and wife Christina of Winchester. She was also the dear sister of Edward Mullan of Leominster, Arlene Logan and husband Jack of Sterling, Lorraine Lolli and husband Ralph, and Barney Mullan and wife Clara, all of Leominster, and the late Rita Deady, Geraldine Colcord and John Mullan. She was the devoted grandmother of Lindsay, Festus, Jaclyn, Aimee, Vanessa, Olivia, Kenneth, Brendan, Austin, Molly, Lucy, Danny and Emily, and great-grandmother of Alayna, Emma, Sienna, Zeppelin, Denis and Riley.
