Obituary

Constance (Lynch) Barrett, of Andover passed away on Saturday, March 7, at Lawrence General Hospital with her family by her side. Born September 26, 1925, to the late John and Irene (Parent) Lynch, Connie was raised in Lawrence and was Valedictorian and President of her graduating class at St. Mary's High School. She attended the MacIntosh School and worked for many years at the Lawrence Lumber Company. After staying home to see her children through elementary school, she returned to work in the Andover Public Schools, for the AIRS Program.

Connie was the widow of Joseph F. Barrett, who passed away in 2001. Following his retirement, she and Joe enjoyed many warm winters in Bradenton, Florida. Connie was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Andover and had a wide circle of dear friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed coffee and cards with her friends at Andover Commons, and her Friday lunch group.

Connie is survived, and will be deeply missed, by her daughter, Patricia of Andover, her son John, daughter-in-law, Karen and granddaughter Nicole of Chelmsford and several nieces and nephews. Connie was the sister of the late Jacqueline M. Jackson.

Connie was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a devoted friend who lived her life with grace and dignity. Her spirit, strength, and wisdom will live on in all who knew her.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
