Obituary

William “Bill” M. St. George, 76, of Walpole, passed away with his family by his side on March 3. He was the beloved husband of 51 years of Jean A. (Clerici) St. George.
Born in Canton, January 13, 1939, the son of the late Albert St. George and Edna (Osipowich) Pasquarosa, Mr. St. George was raised in Brockton and had lived in Walpole for many years.
Bill graduated from Brockton High School and then served 2 years in the Army.
He then attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
He worked for two Boston advertising agencies before starting his own business as a freelance graphic designer. In 1999, Bill realized his lifelong dream of becoming a full time artist and gallery owner when he opened his first art gallery on Boston’s prestigious Newbury Street. The gallery was in operation for ten years until the building was sold in 2009, at which time he opened a new gallery on Boylston Street in the historic Steinert building. Bill taught weekly art classes at each gallery and also at the New Art Center in Newton.
Bill was the host of the long-running art program “Impressions” which ran on Walpole Community Television for more than 400 episodes. He received numerous awards for his television show and art work.
Bill was a member of The Copley Art Society.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, William M. St. George, Jr. and his wife Kristen of Holliston and Michael J. St. George and his wife Jill of Walpole.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, Amelia, Sarah, Sophie and Sadie.
His also survived by his siblings, Justine Conti of Buzzards Bay, Diane Torchio of Brockton and Dominic Pasquarosa of East Bridgewater. He was the brother of the late Albert, Lorraine Naujalis, Dorothy Hebert, Frances St. George and Paula Pasquarosa.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to share remembrances on Monday, March 9, from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 892 Main Street, Walpole.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 10 in Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
