Frances R. “Frannie” Papazian, 88 of Medford, died Tuesday March 3, after a long illness in the Woburn Nursing Center, Woburn.

Born in Boston, she resided in Medford for 60 years and was formerly of the West End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Frances (Fisichella) and Salvatore Battaglia. Frances was a seamstress for many years in the Boston Garment District and retired in 1970. She also volunteered as a Candy Striper at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.

Beloved wife of the late Allen E. Papazian. Devoted mother of Edward L. Papazian and his wife Hiroko of Japan and Christine Papazian of Tampa, FL. Loving grandmother of Edward Allen Ellis. Sister of Josephine “Jay” Condelli, Concetta “Connie” Evangelista both of Medford, Lucille Fallavollita of Westwood, Jean Dinunzio of Saugus and the late Helen Gallagher and Gaetano Battaglia.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Monday from 9-10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
