Renee L. (Duarte) Souto, 50, of New Bedford died Monday March 2, 2015 after a long illness. She was the wife of Nathaniel Souto.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Ronald C. and Brenda J. (Grace) Duarte of New Bedford, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Renee was formerly employed as a phlebotomist at St. Luke's Hospital until her illness.
She is survived by her husband; her parents; two children, Courtney Rae Duarte-Souto and Nathaniel Ashdon Duarte-Souto, both of New Bedford; three brothers, Ronald S. Duarte and his wife Anna, Mark A. Duarte and his wife Shelly, and Dean J. Duarte, all of New Bedford; her grandmother, Elizabeth Duarte of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Mason Nathaniel Duarte-Souto and Joel Vazquez, Jr.; three nephews, Randall S. Duarte, Cameron B. Duarte, and Jose A. Duarte; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was the granddaughter of the late Anna Grace.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
