Lawrence – Theresa S. (Berube) Baillargeon, 85, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Baillargeon.
Born in Methuen on October 29, 1929, Theresa was the daughter of Alfred and Laura (Robichaud) Berube. She attended Methuen schools. Simply known to all as Memere, she delighted in taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her biggest joy. She loved to sing and lit up the room wherever she went. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, caring for her pets and especially loved to talk.
Theresa will be deeply missed by her 3 daughters, Mary Ann Pappalardo and her husband Paul of Methuen, Suzanne Smerdon and her fiancé Bob Rapa of Methuen, and Laura Jacques and her husband Kevin of Methuen; her son, Robert Baillargeon and his wife Dorothy of Lowell, 5 grandchildren; Lisa Douglass and her husband Sandy, Melissa Branco and her husband Tom, Ryan Jacques, Jonathan Jacques, and Marie Baillargeon; 4 great grandchildren, Kassie, Alexis, Madison, and Janette; her brother, Joseph Berube and his wife Pauline of Freemont, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Theresa’s life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9 AM on Friday, March 6th at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Theresa’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
