Obituary

Edmund F. Harrison, 75, of New Bedford died February 28, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Brenda M. (Monteiro) Harrison.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Edmund F. and Edith M. (Stevens) Harrison and step-son of the late Mariah J. (Talley) Harrison, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Harrison was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.
He was formerly employed by Regal House Furniture for several years. Prior to that, he was the proprietor of Ruth Street Market.

Mr. Harrison was a member of the 9-18 Golf Club and the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, William H. Carney Lodge 200.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; 3 children, Edmund F. Harrison, II and his wife Kimberly and Kenneth Harrison, all of New Bedford and Tracey Harrison of Rhode Island; a step-son, Paul DePina of New Bedford; a sister, Geraldine Harrison of Columbia, MO; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late George Harrison.
