Mr. Joaquim Santos, a resident of Medford for many years and beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Perry) Santos, passed away at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford on Friday morning, February 27, 2015. He was 95 years old.
Joaquim was born in Portugal on September 7, 1919. Mr. Santos worked as a custodian for MIT in Boston for more than 30 years. In his spare time, Joaquim enjoyed watching hockey and taking care of his dog.
He is survived by his loving son Richard and his wife Cathy Santos of Somerville and cherished grandchildren Richard, Jill, Ryan and Jason Santos.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home., 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
