Norma (Fernandes) Cunha, age 85 passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was the loving wife of Louis N. Cunha Jr., for 65 years and daughter of the late John and Mary (Lopes) Cabral. She worked at the Big G and Stop & Shop as a cashier and front end manager. She was a former member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild and a parishioner of Holy Name Parish. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed going to the casinos, baking and cooking for her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Bruce Cunha (wife Linda) of Odessa TX, Judith Como (husband Lawrence) of Fall River MA, and Robert Cunha (wife Joanne) of Dartmouth MA, sister; Bella Nogueira, She leaves 6 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Stella Norton, Edward and Ronald Fernandes.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Name Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Newport Memorial Park. Calling hours on WEDNESDAY from 4-7 P.M.
